Welcome to Origen Music.

This web page dedicated to the brand new Origen's CD "Solveig's Song ". The music from Peer Gynt by Nowegian composer Edvard Grieg inspired Origen
founder, Alexsey Zakharenko, re-interpret Grieg music both as to adapt Beethoven's music and create his own version of Solveig's Song. It took four years of painstaking work to create this album which represents both the re-interpretation of classical music and the music composed by Alexsey Zakharenko. A wonderful and well balanced combination of electronic music and the fantastic voice of award winning lyrical opera soprano Tanya Lubimenko gives brand new, sometimes unexpected sounding of the music by Grieg, Beethoven, Pachelbel.

Ever since the CDs "New Age Opera" and "Ave Maria" were released, ORIGEN has become one of the most respected and beloved artists of the New Age/Classical/Electronic Crossover genre.
ORIGEN has created their sixth album and work of art entitled:"Solveig's Song." Origen founder, Alexsey Zakharenko, has dedicated four years of intensely
creative time to produce a masterpiece that combines, not only reinterpretations of classical music, but also his own original compositions.
In this new album, Zakharenko's arrangements and performances are beyond compare. His trademark mixture of combining the classical with the electronic is even more refined.
Award winning opera singer Tanya Lubimenko soars in and out of the music like a rare, mystical being. Surely her voice is otherworldly. She brings new light to the classical masterpieces of Grieg, Bach, Beethovan and Pachelbel. And Zakharenko, like a magician, has certainly worked his magic here and used his musical wand to renew and reinvent these classic pieces especially for her. She's worth it. She has placed herself in the most rare category of singers, certainly one of the few who has the courage to walk into his world. She is beyond compare. She embraces musical notes like a dancer.
This CD contains three versions of "Solvieg's Song."
1. Grieg's version: Reinterpreted as a New Age piece containing an original chorus by Zakharenko.
2. Beethovan's Version from the Sonata #8 for piano: Adapted specifically for the placement of lyrics in Solvieg's Song; once again Zakharenko shows us the unusual creativity of Origen.
3. Alexsey Zakharenko's version: "The New Solveig's Song", his own

It is worth mentioning Kyrie and Kyrie Eleison. These songs originated in the Twelfth Century. Kyrie was recorded by Origen ten years ago in 1999 for the album "Mooky Zvoo." This was Origen's first experience with crossover music. The theme for Kyrie Eleison was taken from an old Ukrainian Church monody first
performed and recorded by the Kiev Chamber Choir for their CD, "A Thousand Years Of Ukrainian Sacred Music".
"The Swan" is one of the most famous and popular instrumental works of Camille Saint-Saens. Origen's rendition allows you to enjoy both the music and magical voice of Tanya Lubimenko. If you are a classical music buff you might imagine that Saint-Saens wrote this piece knowing that one day a gifted singer like Lubimenko would come along and add another facet to his work. When his melody leaves her breath we are opened up to an entirely new experience.
Among other instrumental songs on this CD, special attention should be paid to Pachelbel's Chiacona in D. Johan Pachelbel is one of the most extraordinary examples of the crossover music phenomenon. This
is also one of Zakharenko's favorite composers. No wonder Pachelbel finds his way onto other Origen CDs.
One is left to wonder if Origen somehow reaches back and touches the hands of the Masters, or is it the other way around? Do the Masters whisper in Origen's ear? ORIGEN is art at its finest!
